My file is invalid to convert
If you receive an ‘invalid’ error when trying to convert your file, there could be several reasons:
Correct broker file
Make sure you have downloaded the correct file from your broker. On the Converter page, you can find step-by-step instructions for each broker.
Do not edit your CSV file
It’s important that you do not open or modify the downloaded CSV file in programs like Excel or Numbers. These programs may unintentionally change the file format, structure, or delimiters, causing the converter to no longer recognize the file. Upload your CSV file immediately after downloading, without opening or editing it.
Check if you selected the correct broker
When uploading your file, ensure you have selected the correct broker. Each broker has its own file format, and the converter will only work properly if the file is processed under the right broker.
Still experiencing issues?
If your file is still marked as ‘invalid’ despite these steps:
- Try downloading the file from your broker again and upload it immediately.
- Double-check that you haven’t accidentally made any modifications to the file.
- Contact our support team and include the original CSV or PDF file.
