When converting I got 'Skipped rows'

When converting your broker file, some rows may be skipped. In the Instructions tab of the converter, we explain when and why certain broker actions are not loaded or are deliberately “skipped.”

Why are some rows skipped?

There are several reasons why a row in your file might be skipped:

  • Duplicate transactions: If an action appears multiple times in the CSV or PDF file, we only convert one instance to prevent duplicates.
  • Unsupported asset types: Some asset types, such as options, are currently not supported and will be skipped.
  • Handled within PDT: Actions such as ISIN changes or stock splits are managed within PDT and do not need to be entered manually.
  • Unrecognizable or incomplete data: If certain rows do not contain the correct or sufficient information, the converter cannot process them properly.

Always check the ‘Skipped rows’

It is important to review the skipped rows yourself. Some of these actions might still be relevant for a complete overview of your portfolio.

  • Compare the ‘Skipped rows’ with your original broker file to check for missing transactions.
  • If necessary, manually add any missing transactions to Google Sheets.

Was a row skipped incorrectly?

Do you believe certain rows were skipped incorrectly? Please contact our support team and include:

  • The broker you are using
  • The original CSV or PDF file
  • The specific rows that were not included

Our team will investigate and adjust the converter if necessary.
