My cash position does not match my broker(s)

With PDT, we calculate your cash position for you. That way you don't have to worry about it yourself. Because we calculate this position for you, it's important that, in addition to all deposits, your transactions, dividends, FX conversions and costs are entered correctly. This especially applies if you enter your portfolio in PDT manually.

Would you like to know more about how we calculate your cash position? How does the cash position work?

Correct your cash position

Because we calculate your cash position for you, there may be a small difference between PDT and your broker(s). To remove this difference, you can correct your cash position. We spread the correction evenly over your entire investment period.

Do you hold cash in multiple currencies? Then you have a separate cash position per currency, and you correct each cash position separately. So compare, for example, your dollar balance at your broker with your dollar cash position in PDT.

If your cash position deviates by more than 10%, please contact our support.

Step 1: Go to the portfolio page and click the cash position of the currency you want to correct.

Step 2: Under Position, we show the cash position PDT has calculated. Click Cash position correction.

Step 3: Under Desired cash position, enter the balance you see at your broker. We calculate the correction amount for you.

Step 4: Repeat these steps for every cash position that differs.
